Learn from Latissa Graham how to utilize proper body mechanics and alignment while performing doula services. This is especially important for longer births, where you may be providing counter pressure for hours on end! Extended and repetitive movements or positions put you at a higher risk for injuries, including Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, back injuries such as slipped or herniated discs, neck injuries, Buffalo Hump, tendon and ligament sprains and strains, shoulder injuries, sciatica, collapsing of arches, inflammation, muscle spasms, and lots, lots more. I see it all the time in my private practice. Doulas are extra hard on their bodies! If you haven't learned how to hold your body in order to avoid injury, this is the class for you!

You will also learn self-care and self-massage techniques and how to use tools to help you recover and recoup. This class is great for anyone in a field that requires bending over.

This class will be held in South Jordan, UT, and will also be ooffered live on ZOOM!
